My Name is… Matthew David Almendinger, but most of you probably know me as . . Matty.
I am… a hip hop artist from Salem Oregon, part time receptionist at a construction company, friend, son, entrepreneur, professional promoter (for myself) haha, Live music performer, and ghostwriter for most of your favorite rappers (just kidding . . maybe)
I like it when…. I get paid, when I have exact change at the drive through, when a show goes REALLY well, when I see people I’ve never met before reciting my songs, when I plg m website in interviews (www.ThisisMatty.com) . amongst a plethora of other things.
One thing I wish the Northwest would share with the world is… how FRESH we are, and how OUT HERE we are. I would also love for the world to see how creative/innovative people are here, not just musically.
One thing I wish the world would share with the Northwest is… Hmmm, a Dave and Busters!!! I always see the commercials for that place and it looks like a blast. HAHA!
Something I have coming up is… Lots of shows and if everything goes to plan… a medium sized our this summer. Also, I’m about 80% done with my new album entitled “That Moment”. New T-Shirt designs and other things of that nature. Also, I just finished a track for Grayson’s (The Professor of And1/ESPN and Ball Up) website/new highlight video called ‘Shut Down” that will be out very soon.
This is exciting because… Everything I’m involved in is exciting, and if it’s not … I’m probably not involved. haha! Big ups to Jacob Espinoza aka The Kid Espi aka THE Oregon Homeboy aka The Skit Master aka “He’s So Out Here” for having me!
