“Billy the Fridge is a traveling Freak Show. A quarter-ton behemoth, doughnut eating champion, former-wrestler and he is the biggest rapper in Seattle.”

Thank you for taking the time my friend. How are you doing?

Not bad! I’ve been trying to stay out of trouble… I just put out an EP (The Clown and The Mountain) with a friend of mine named Ronald McFondle. He’s a Seattle Semi-Pro wrestler turned rapper. He’s a perverted clown. It’s been one hell of a ride with him. He’s basically lead me down this dark alley where all of Seattle’s underground sexual deviants hang out and made me rap to them about destroying vaginas. Never a dull moment.

You released Lunch Box Soldiers in February, how has it been moving?

It’s modest. The Lunch Box Soldiers album is actually 10 years in the making. Me and my fat friend Timm Konn started working together at Undercaste Studios in 2001. At the time we were more focused on shock comedy and prank calls. Sliding rap in where it probably didn’t belong. Timm went on to be a family man and I went on to be Seattle’s fattest rap sensation. We linked together to make a very obese-centric album. It’s an EP… 6 songs and 1 commercial. A donut commercial. I don’t even know why. We just figured the world should want to eat more donuts.

You have anything coming up in the near future?

Right now, I’m setting up with Ronald McFondle to do the 4th Annual AMDEF (Art Music Dance Entertainment Fashion) show Saturday May 21st at Seattle’s famed venue The Crocodile. We’re going to be rapping profane around a bunch of creative people. It should be an epic night. Then we’re flying down to Las Vegas for a performance and possible wrestling match for Sinn Bodhi’s Freak Show Wrestling event. The next night we will drive to Los Angeles for Full Contact Comedy with Sinn Bodhi’s crew at The Viper Room. That week is going to be crazy.

Are you going to be wrestling at the event?

There is talk of a wrestling match at the Las Vegas show. Ronald McFondle and I would be teaming up on some old school carnival justice. However, the main point is for use to rap and promote the new EP.

What do you have on top of your fridge?

A bunch of cereal. I like to keep a variety of boxes up there. Plus it’s right next to the milk which allows me for quick refills. You never know how many bowls is going to be enough. Having access to all the choices at once makes for an easy switch up from Cap’n Crunch to Rice Chex to Cocoa Puffs, if I so desire. Your cereal should never be more than an arm’s length away from your milk.

I saw Andy Milonakis quoted you on Twitter the other day, have you two ever met?

I first ran into Andy on webcam over at http://www.battlecam.com – a site I frequent often. I was broadcasting and somebody in the chat was like “Hey, I know you. Dirty Nasty showed me a video of you the other day. It’s a small world”. I looked down at the name and it was Andy Milonakis. Afterwards, he got me into the GrindTime Tiny Chat room where I started doing some webcam rap battles. It was cool. I haven’t linked up with Andy in the flesh yet, but we’ve talked about it. We might link up and get some tattoos together. Maybe that could happen when I’m in Los Angeles at the end of May.

What are some of your favorite food spots in Seattle?

For a nice plate dinner, I like the 5 Spot in Queen Anne. They have a rotating menu that features seasonal themes. It could be Hawaii, then flip into Louisiana, or Route 66. After 10pm they do a $5 Menu that is worth waiting up for. Then, for a quality burger, I like to hit up Blue Moon Burgers. They have multiple locations from Fremont, to South Lake Union and now one opening on Capitol Hill. Every month they deliver a new and interesting burger. Plus the manager there hipped me onto using unglazed Krispy Kreme donuts instead of Biscuits with some Country Gravy. AMAZING. That’s the only way I can justify eating Krispy Kreme… the Northwest has too many great donut shops to go corporate.

Favorite Northwest hip hop moment?

I’ve got a lot. Selfishly, I want to say it was winning the Top Pot Doughnut Eating Contest to The Saturday Knight’s playing live behind me. The group of Barlfy, Tilson and DJ Suspence hit my musical taste buds perfectly. There mission to have fun or die trying was something I believe in wholeheartedly. Being able to share the spotlight with them in such an unorthodox moment was pure fun. Fact is tho, I’m still kind of living the same moment I was 10 years ago. It just keeps growing. I can’t wait to see the next great moment.

Closing thoughts?

I could ramble on for days with closing thoughts. I should just thank you for bringing me into the We Out Here realm. I love the dynamic magazine/website has brought together. This region needs more pedestals, because we really do have champions out here. People that should (and I believe will) be representing the Northwest on world wide scale. Also, everybody message me on Twitter. @BillyTheFridge – I am a big fan of communication in under 140 characters.
