Day Drinking
Um… I do it every now and then. I’m not opposed to day drinking at all, I just try not to make a huge habit of it.
It’s cool from time to time, but don’t go HAM with it all of the time.
Macklemore
He’s fucking killing it right now. As a result of his success, more success is coming to artists in this area.
I met him 2005 outside Bumpershoot, I had just got my first full length pressed. He was outside bumping his album on the boom box. I had heard of him, I went up to him like “let me buy one of your albums,” and I gave him a copy of mine for free. I hit him up a few weeks later and asked if he had a chance to listen to it and he was like, “Honestly, it’s not bad. I was expecting it to be terrible.”
Ever since then man, that’s been my dude.
Seattle
My favorite place in the whole wide world.
There really is a good sense of community in Seattle. There are going to be people that say otherwise. No community is going to be perfect. I think sometimes rappers expect this perfect utopia of support, but you’re never going to get that. Seattle definitely has a super supportive people who I wouldn’t have met if I wasn’t doing music. It’s absolutely helped me grow a lot over the past few years. Just doing music in general, I’ve met so many people from so many different walks a life.
There are a lot of places I haven’t been yet that I want to go.
I’ve been wanting to just go to Europe and Asia. I want to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. I want to see Petra in Jordan. They have the buildings in the side of mountains and shit. That shit is just so dope to me. Sometimes It’s easy to forget how huge the world is. I want to see as much of it as I can.
Whiskey
Is my favorite. Jameson is probably my favorite. I don’t remember the first time I had it. I think a bartender suggested it to me. I like Jim Beam too. I drink all types of whiskey. I like Pendleton too, but I think Jameson is my go to. It can make your best nights and your worst nights.
Seahawks
Fucking Super Bowl 2006. They got robbed. I hope I live to see the day the Seahawks win the Super Bowl.
Swag
I’m just tired of that fucking word. I’ve gotten over the phase where I don’t ever want to hear that fucking word. I just don’t care at this point. Whatever it defines I hope I have some of that, but I’m just tired of it.
Sasquatch
I’m really, really excited to be playing Sasquatch this year. I’ve been hitting them up for years trying to play the festival. I’m really excited man, it’s the Gorge. I’ve actually never even been to Sasquatch, but I’m really just looking forward to it. Their having a local hip hop stage that they are adding to it.
