Michael Fox was sentenced to a year in prison today after pleading no contest to child sex abuse charges.

Police arrested Fox on allegation that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl who was a client and intern at Fox’s Company Vault Management.

Fox 12 reports that he “pleaded no contest to the charges in December 2010 and was re-arrested in January for violating the terms of his release agreement, according to detectives.”

The terms of release stated Fox was not allowed to have contact with children, but detectives say he continued to contact underage girls via the internet and met with at least one of them in person.

“The whole situation is unfortunate,” said Ariel Suzanne, who was managed by Fox at Vault Management. “It’s disappointing knowing someone you have given your trust to has taken advantage of that trust. A lot of his clients, like myself, didn’t even know he was going back to jail.”

As part of his sentencing Fox will also have to register as a sex offender.

Investigators have asked for people to come forward if they have information about similiar incidents.
