If you’re anything like me, focusing on one task from start to finish continues to be a challenge. There are so many damn distractions. From my targeting timeline, to the beautiful birds outside my window… I tend to have squirrel syndrome at times when deep focus is required.

On the other end of the spectrum, sometimes, I find myself hyperfixating on a task for hours and forgetting to drink water, eat food, get some fresh air, or even stand up from my chair to stretch my body.

In the past, I’ve gone to various coffee shops and coworking spaces to put myself around some creative energy, however working from home also has it benefits. If balanced properly, I don’t see an issue with doing laundry while I’m finishing up some research or tidying up my room in between designing new graphics. The distractions continue to be an issue, however, I have a solution. Drum roll, please!

I am inviting you to come tackle your tasks in the company of community. We can do this together! Join us via Zoom for a 3 hour virtual coworking event. You do not have to come on time, you can drop in at any time that you’d like.

Major shout out to Danae, who introduced me to this concept back during my sudden shift to fulltime virtual work in 2020. Though back then it was just the two of us, something about being in the virtual company of someone else who was working too, was extremely impactful and motivational to me. We would check in every 45 minutes or so and remind each other to eat, drink water, go outside, stretch, and take breaks!

I would like to hold a similar space for those who may struggle with focusing on their tasks. So whether you’ll be in the office, at home, at a coffee shop, or in space, I invite you to join me next Monday, April 21st at 11AM PST/ 2PM EST for We Out Here Werkin!

We will take time to set objectives at the beginning of our session, take breaks, share challenges, wins, and encouragement, but most of all, we gon’ WERK!

We look forward to werkin with you!
