Last month, Volifonix played at a benefit for Japanese tsunami relief that was held at the Four Seasons Hong Kong and raised over $300,000 for aid. They also played at the Blue Frog club in the Venetian Macau. In Beijing, Volifonix played with Hedgehog, one of China’s biggest acts, at the Mao Livehouse. Volifonix was invited to play at that show by Modern Sky, the largest rock label in China. The band recorded a track in Hong Kong with MC Yan, a well-known hip-hop artist. The song will be released soon on Volifonix’s website, www.volifonix.com, as well as on MC Yan’s. The band also had some down time to take in the sites. They quickly learned that life is faster paced in Hong Kong than Oregon after the lead singer swung the passenger side door of a taxicab open to have a truck slam into it. Nobody was injured, but the band had to hand over cash for the damaged door.

Something I have coming up is…a music video shoot for “Hidden Suspicion”, one of the the singles from our soon to be released 2nd full length studio album.
This is exciting because…we are working with a great production crew from Portland. We will be using live footage from an upcoming show in Eugene at the Degenerate Flame Off, which is an art festival hosted by one of our sponsors, Corner Stone Glass. The music video will be a great way to give our fans a taste of the new album.

This is exciting because…MC Yan is credited for being the first person to rap in Cantonese. He does this on the song we recorded together. When you combine Cantonese rapping with Volifonix’s sound you get a pretty crazy sound. The song will be available for FREE download soon at www.volifonix.com.
