Uncapped Santigold, B.o.B, Matt & Kim & DJ Yung Skeeter

April 3rd: The day Boring, Oregon got flipped on it’s head.

After finding close to 5 million tweets that used hash tags related to “boring” or “boredom”, Vitaminwater decided to start a fight against boredom in the small town of Boring, Oregon. Teaming up with College Humor and Fuse TV, they managed to spice the town up by releasing a life-size robot dinosaur on the locals, turning the local diner (The Red Apple) into a fine dinning experience, as well as bringing out an exclusive blend of artists – Santigold, B.o.B, Matt & Kim and DJ Yung Skeeter – to rock the stage.

Long story short: We weren’t aware of this concert until the day of the show.. And our weouthere.net email accounts aren’t active…

I would like to take this time to shout out my lovely girlfriend for forwarding me the contact information, I love you.

With that said, we showed up in Boring, Oregon around 4pm at The Red Apple, where the lovely waitress, Christie, instructed us on how to get to the camp grounds where the concert was being held. After a quick shot of whiskey (Pendleton) we left the wonderful establishment on a mission, to get into the show.

Of course when we arrived at Camp Kuratli, the staff at the gate informed us that we weren’t on the list to attend this show. The dedication of the mission sunk in, and before we were turned around, we explained who we were. With a simple exchange of business cards (you are a nobody without a business card) and a phone call… BAM! Misson complete!

We would like to thank the wonderful people with Vitaminwater and everyone involved for accommodating us on the spot without an RSVP, thank you so much, we had a blast.

B.o.B hit the stage first dressed in overalls with a fox tail hanging out of his pocket. I would describe his performance as sub-par – it wasn’t boring – it just didn’t knock my socks off. I caught a lyric of his alluding to a rock album, that might work better for him.

Matt and Kim went on next and they stole the show. Their set was super fun. Kim couldn’t stop jumping up an down on her drum set, they gave everyone in the audience balloons to blow up and throw around and their energy was amazing. They owned the night, jamming some hip hop favorites like “Let Me Clear My Throat” by DJ Kool, Ludacris’ “Move Bitch (Get Out The Way),” and Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode” that had the crowd nodding their heads. Kim was unstoppable, her recently ankle injury didn’t stop her from strapping on her boot and walking out on the crowd and booty popping for the Boring audience.

Santigold was last and she invited the whole crowd on stage to dance for a song. At one point she was dancing around with a white custom horse. She wrapped the night up by having all the artist come out and finish her last song. B.o.B rapped a verse while Kim came out in her boot with a drum strapped to her belly and Matt sang the courus.

The night came to an end and the brilliance had been brought to Boring. The cheesy host (Damien Dante Wayans) said something to the cameras and the event was over for the town of Boring, Oregon.
