The progression is real. Astro King Phoenix teams with Ike Watson for his second “micro-EP” in the eight-part 8th Realm series, The New Wave, and the result is flat out impressive. An unexpected switch up from the prior installment, Road To Dreams, this second installment feels a bit more cohesive while replacing a layer of his trademark artistic grit with intentional aesthetic.
