Talilo Marfil is one of Portland hip-hop’s greatest modern heroes; an educator by nature, a leader by nature and rapper by craft, in many ways he reminds me of a younger Mic Crenshaw, or a Luvva J.
His latest video is not Hollywood, but it’s still dope. Just hella raw, and hella real, and sometimes that’s what counts. Cameos from some of the city’s brightest young minds appear throughout the video but what really pops out are images of Talilo’s true to life friends, family and students. This is truly a dedication.
