We’ve been waiting for this album for far too long and it’s finally here! Two of the town’s very best, producer Trox and emcee Jon Belz joined forces to create Loud Pack, in an effort led by Hip Hop Junkies. The highly collaborative album is anchored by top-notch production and frenetic raps, and interspersed with fantastic guest features and voicemail skits that detail the origins of the album.

5 of the album’s 10 tracks offer guest rappers, and they went for the best. The uptempo Stylin’ On Em is a lyrical barrage featuring Donte Thomas and Serge Severe, while the Roc-era feeling Dope Dealer brings Easy McCoy and 6ix into the fold. The epic big beat on Underdog catches a beatdown from Mic Capes, and the wailing, boom-bappy Catch ZZs serves as a canvas for Hanif. Summertime, originally a WOHM premiere, rounds out the tracks with rap features with vocals from Tope and Felicia Taylor.

That’s just the start though. Jon spits zero wack verses on this project, and that’s basically what we’ve come to expect from the iconic underground rapper. Trox does what he does too, and the album has a great feel to it, really putting on for Portland as a unit. Check it out and let us know what you think. No better day for the #LoudPack than today, right? #OutHere
