Ever since Vytell (of McMinnville) put together the “Portland Female Cypher” video and moved to So-Cal  a year ago, she’s been fairly quiet about what she’s been up to: working on a mixtape made exclusively from Youtube beats and putting in hours in the studio and on stages down there. While the rapper/singer’s previous releases have included verses from Vinnie Dewayne and Epp, “We Can Make It” is a no-feature track with a crisp old school beat over slow ethereal tones. The breezy 3-minute track gives a little tease for the kind of sound we can expect to hear from her upcoming set in Portland next week. With her casual flow that’s vaguely reminiscent of Eve, the Oregon-grown-Cali-native will take the stage next Wednesday as she makes her Portland debut at We Take Holocene 3. Consider this release the first of many to come from the curly-haired chick.
