Seattle rap phenom Sol has been doing his thing for a long time; only he and Nacho Picasso have managed to make the #FreshestInTheNW list all 3 years. This year – amidst memories of his iconic crowd surf IN A BOAT at Sasquatch – the enigma rides in at #3, despite an otherwise quiet year.

Darryl wasn’t having any part of Sol at #2, arguing that he’s not strong enough lyrically to place this high, noting that Sol gets got on his collaborations. Horizon countered that if we’re going by bars, Luck One would still be moving up the list which started a firestorm that D-Money had to quell.

From his Eyes Open EP in September, to touring with Zion I and Tope, to smashing at Sasquatch and the Capitol Hill Block Party, Sol has all the credentials to justify his placement… and no one has forgot his sellout performances at Seattle’s famed Showbox. He also dropped a banger with Dave B in March, but I think the panel had enough Dave B talk by this time.

The big bottle of Heem made its rounds before a split decision to push Gabby up to the #2 spot set us up for a the grand finale. Come through the Unicorn Sunday night – it’s a FREE party – to get the news first. Otherwise, we’ll be posting the final episode Monday morning, right here on We Out Here Magazine and Go Juice Radio.
