Kenny Fresh said it was one of the best rap albums he’d heard all year so I checked out Kung Foo Grip’s latest offering and it was a treat for the ears, though I may not be quite as sold as Mr. Fresh. It’s been two years since the Seattle vets have dropped an album though, and this should certainly satisfy their fan base.
There’s no slacking on the rapping on this one, and the production is refreshingly creative and new; still, at times I found myself a bit lost on some of the more experimental joints. Nonetheless, great listen. Plus it’s a free download. Can’t lose.
