A-Ru$$ – to me – is one of the more promising under-aged artists in Portland. Hate to burden the kid with the potential tag, but he’s got in in spades. He gets with fellow NEP up-and-comer Keith Canvas on his latest single, Wealthy.
Looking like he came straight out of an Ambercrombie ad, the often shirtless 20 year old can be seen turning up with his SQD buddies, alternately singing and rapping properly auto-tuned bars over clean production. Since witnessing stand-out supporting roles at the January TNO Presents and again with Kamara Slim at TheTHESIS, I’ve been impressed by the solo music the kid’s got to offer. Keep an eye out and expect to see more on WOHM from the talented up and comer who’s been doing big numbers on the low.
