Mic Capes had a really wavy listening party last Wednesday, playing his unmastered, upcoming, new 20+ track juggernaut of an album, Concrete Dreams for a select crowd, including Seattle rap queen Gifted Gab, who packed out the Yanagida store (many making purchases on the way out).
After an interactive listening session that encompassed the entire album from top to bottom, Mic debuted a creative new video – by none other than Totem Ent. – for a bonus track on the album, Fessenden Flow, produced by Brxtn Chase. And the crowd went nuts.
A powerful throwback beat gives Mic just the type of space he needs to operate, barring out while Ryan DeReamer’s animations give the visuals energy. Mic takes a break from the heavy material on this one, swag rapping along the dimly lit streets of Fessenden, in North Portland… where he really lives. True to life if you ask me.
